The Chrysalis BREW Project has announced The Magical World of Candytopia by Abigail Samson as a recipient of the BREW Seal of Excellence. The book has also been shortlisted for the BREW Readers’ Choice Award.
The BREW Seal of Excellence recognizes titles that demonstrate strong storytelling, clarity, and relevance to their intended audience. In its official review, The Chrysalis BREW Project described Samson’s work as “one of those rare stories that begins in sweetness and ends in the bittersweet discovery of self.”

According to the official rating, the book earned perfect scores for content, writing, audience appeal, uniqueness, editing, and overall literary value. The publication stated that “its world-building—where gingerbread servants fuss over royal affairs and magenta snow dresses shimmer in jelly-lit halls—is nothing short of delicious.”
The BREW Readers’ Choice shortlist places Samson’s debut among titles recognized for their creativity and reader impact. Winners of the Readers’ Choice Award will be announced in the upcoming cycle of The Chrysalis BREW Project’s literary program.
